Who is Lulu?

 

It's very silly, really.. but I started my sweet journey by making chocolate molded lollipops, and got inspired by my dog, Lucy! No, seriously... my dog!  I have the sweetest, happiest, most loving, most affectionate dog ever.  So between Lucy and the lollipops.. Lulu Popz was born!

 

I can remember finding a book in my elementary school library, "My First Baking Book" by Rena Coyle, and being absolutely enthralled with the illustrated pages.  My mother, Christina, didn't know whether to holler at the messy counter-tops and the pile of dishes I had left for her, or to rave over the yummy goodies I left in the wake.  Simple cookies, popovers, custard cups (albeit she didn't have a cup to have coffee in the morning!), "Puffed Explosions" - all so much fun for me to make. 

 

As a child, I found my love for cooking and baking with my mother.  The years went by, life seemed to take some unpresidented turns, and I strayed away from what I loved.  It was only after my mother passed that I found myself drawn back to the kitchen with my own daughter this time, putting the apron on and once again delving into what I know... what momma taught me.

 

My passion has always been artistic expression.  Through the wonderful world of sweets, I am able to bring my vivid imagination to edible life!  I am so thankful for every opportunity Jesus has given me to share these gifts with you.
